Principal Consultant
I bring a unique combination of strategy consulting rigor and large-scale operational execution experience to help growth-focused companies develop and implement strategies that drive measurable results. With nearly two decades spanning strategy consulting and Fortune 500 leadership roles, I understand both how to craft compelling strategic frameworks and how to navigate the organizational realities that determine whether strategies actually get executed.
My career has been defined by building and leading strategic initiatives at scale. Most recently, I spent 14 years at Dell Technologies, culminating as Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Market Intelligence, where I led a large strategy organization supporting a $55B business unit. In this role, I directed ten strategic planning cycles across corporate, business unit, and functional levels, partnering directly with C-suite executives and business unit leadership teams. My work as Vice President directly contributed to $10B in revenue growth and 150 to 200 basis points of profitability improvement over five years. This was not strategy in isolation. It was strategy developed in partnership with cross-functional leaders and executed through the complexities of a global Fortune 500 organization.
Throughout my time at Dell, I led initiatives that spanned the full spectrum of strategic work my clients now engage me to deliver. As a product strategy leader, I directed a comprehensive optimization effort for the PC business that reallocated 15% ($30M) of the R&D budget to higher-return products. I later led a massive product simplification initiative which reduced the number of unique products in the portfolio by 35% and restructured the brand architecture to focus on the Dell brand instead of low-recall sub-brands. In strategic analysis, I led over 100 unique projects during my time at Dell. Perhaps most notably, I spearheaded a cross-functional customer experience transformation where I identified the key drivers of customer satisfaction, built organizational alignment around an improvement plan, and co-led the program management office that drove execution. This effort delivered a 7-point Net Promoter Score improvement over two years, representing a 20% increase.
Before Dell, I spent three years as a strategy consultant at Booz & Company (now known as PwC Strategy&) and another as an independent consultant. I worked across industries on transformation initiatives, process improvements, and complex financial analyses. This experience gave me the analytical frameworks and structured problem-solving approaches that consulting firms are known for. These are skills I have since applied to real operational challenges where execution matters as much as insight.
What distinguishes my approach is this dual perspective. I know how to develop rigorous, data-driven strategic recommendations because I have done it in a top-tier consulting environment. But I also know how to make those strategies work inside actual organizations. This means navigating stakeholder dynamics, building organizational capability, and driving change management. I have led those efforts at enterprise scale. I understand that the best strategy is one that your organization can actually execute, and I design strategic planning processes, analyses, and portfolio frameworks with that reality front and center.
I founded Illitex to bring this combination of consulting expertise and operational leadership to companies that need enterprise-grade strategic thinking without the overhead of large consulting firms. Whether you need a custom strategic planning process that fits your culture, deep analysis to inform a critical decision, or portfolio optimization that balances market coverage with operational efficiency, I deliver Fortune 500 rigor tailored to how your business actually works.
